What did you like about the book? Spanish translation of Carle’s 1987 book The Tiny Seed. Through simple text and Carle’s signature painted collage, the reader follows a group of seeds as they are blown by the wind. The smallest seed is the one that withstands all of nature’s obstacles and grows into a giant flower. A beautiful depiction of the life cycle of a plant, from seed to seed.
To whom would you recommend this book? For ages 3 and up, for pleasure or learning about plants.
Who should buy this book? Day cares, elementary school and public libraries
Where would you shelve it ? Picture books
Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? Yes
