What did you like about the book? Born into a military family, Gabriella has her share of challenges as a teen and experiences a sudden setback when her brother falls into a coma after being injured in Afghanistan. She undertakes a pilgrimage that teaches her about duty and honor, traveling with her brother’s best friend, Seth. Different and inspirational, this was a moving story with some surprising twists. 

Anything you didn’t like about it? Writing could have been better. 

To whom would you recommend this book?  High school teens who are open to something different. 

Who should buy this book? Public libraries

Where would you shelve it? YA fiction

Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? No
