What did you like about the book?  Rhyming text introduces readers to the concept of colors.  “RED is the color of delicious cherries, a rose, a ladybug, and all kinds of berries.”  Each page introduces a color and the illustrations and colored text stand out against the black background of the page.  Each color word is also in all caps.  Each color page has illustrations of 10 or more items with the name of the item in white underneath.  Five of the ten color pages have a touch and feel aspect including a fluffy yellow chick, satins wings on the black bat, and a shiny orange pumpkin. This is a nice introduction to colors.

Anything you didn’t like about it?  No

To whom would you recommend this book?  Toddlers will enjoy this introduction to colors.

Who should buy this book?  Public libraries and preschool libraries

Where would you shelve it? Board books

Should we (librarians/readers) put this at the top of our “to read” piles? No
