Rating: 1-5 (5 is an excellent or a Starred review) 4
What did you like about the book? This is another in the Ready-to-Read Adventures of Otto, a little robot and his friends. It is a Pre-level One so it is totally non-threatening for the earliest of readers with very few simple words that are repeated. The type is large and there are few words on a page, generally only on one side of the page with bright cheerful illustrations. In this story Otto rides a space ship until it runs out of gas and he tumbles down to earth in front of an angry rhinoceros who tosses Otto up into the tree branches where his monkey friends, Flip and Flop, are painting! All’s well that ends well.
To whom would you recommend this book? An excellent choice for children in the very first stages of reading.
Who should buy this book? Public libraries and lowest elementary school libraries
Where would you shelve it? Beginning Readers
Should we (librarians) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? No.
