What did you like about the book? This is a sweet book filled with nicknames for little babies. Written in rhyme, this book celebrates the many nicknames a mother has for her child, from the apple of my eye, to little twinkle toes. The illustrations are charming and the cover has a cutout showing the little bear who is the main character. There are pictures of other animals and their mothers and in the end, the mother bear gives her baby a big bear hug and they cuddle all night.

Anything you didn’t like about it?  I liked everything about the book.

To Whom Would You Recommend this book? This is recommended for children ages 1-3.  This is an excellent bed-time story.

Who should buy this book? Libraries with children’s rooms. This board book is sturdy enough to withstand multiple uses at a library.

Where would you shelve it ? Picture books

Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles?  yes
