Format:  Hardcover

Rating: (1-5 5 is a starred review) 5

Genre:  Picture book

What did you like about the book? As the title says, this is a book about mothers and babies. The cover has a slot where you can insert a photo to personalize the book. This is a simple, first book that shows animals with their young. The text is minimal, and the illustrations are large and realistic. Children can learn the names of animals and their young and at the same time, be reassured that their moms will be there for them no matter what.

Anything you didn’t like about it?  I liked everything about this book.

To Whom Would You Recommend this book? This would be a first book for children ages 1-3.

Who should buy this book? This would be a good book for preschools.

Where would you shelve it ? Picture books

Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles?  yes
