What did you like about the book? Nearly ten years have passed since Tessa Lowell left Fayette, Pennsylvania. She hasn’t heard from or seen her sister Joslin, or her mother, Annette since then, Tessa has been living in Florida with her maternal grandmother. But Tessa’s father is dying at the State Penitentiary where he was sentenced for an armed robbery so Tessa goes back to see him one last time. Sadly he dies before she got to him.
Being back in Fayette and staying with her former best friend, Callie’s family is hard for Tessa, and the Greenwoods. Memories of a serial killer from the past are dredged up when a similar murder occurs. Ten years ago Callie’s older cousin, Lori, was taken from the Greenwoods home in the middle of the night, her body was found only a day later where other victims of the Ohio River Monster. Tessa and Callie both testified against the police’s only suspect but now ten years later they are both questioning what they heard and saw that night.
