Format:  Board book

Rating: (1-5, 5 is a starred review) 4

Genre:  Picture book

What did you like about the book? This is a gentle nighttime book that is written in rhyme. The animals on the farm all settle down for a good night sleep and both the pictures and the text will lull a child to sleep. The cover of the book is soft and puffy, which even adds to the gentleness of the book.  The illustrations of the animals are clear and realistic, so a very young child will have no problem recognizing the animals as they get ready for bedtime.

Anything you didn’t like about it? I liked everything about the book

To Whom Would You Recommend this book? This would be a very nice bedtime book for a toddler, ages 1 ½ -3. The glittery title on the front cover will entice a very young child right from the start.

Who should buy this book? all libraries

Where would you shelve it ? Children’s Books

Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles?  Yes

Reviewer’s Name, Library (or school), City and State: Sandra Pacheco, ESL teacher, Washington, D.C.
