61etxfedrol     I Love You, My Bunnies – Laura Driscoll, Illustrated by Lori Tyminski, Maria Elena Naggie & Charles Pickins, Disney Press, 9781484773703, 2017

Format: Paperback

Rating:  (1-5, 5 is an excellent or a Starred review) 2

Genre: Picture book

What did you like about the book? The illustrations were classic “Thumper” Disney art work, with a benevolent story of the five bunnies trying to repay their mom for all her hard work. The young bunnies work together to create a basket and model positive family values.  The accompanying stickers are always a welcome addition to young readers, that can be useful in engaging and enlarging the book theme into further art projects, etc.

Anything you didn’t like about it?  The simplicity, and the classic “Disney” artwork felt familiar but  recycled. I hope it finds new young audiences.

To whom would you recommend this book?  Disney lovers, Bunny lovers, preschool children and their families who want a low-priced, paperback book with stickers.

Who should buy this book? Parents and grandparents, Disney lovers

Where would you shelve it ? picture books

Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles?   No
