What did you like about the book? Lucy has become an independent agent with mixed feelings though she is moderately successful. So when Lockwood shows up at her door asking her to join them for a job, she readily agrees. When she gets back home, she discovers that her apartment has been broken into and her skull-in-a- bottle has been stolen. What’s more she and Lockwood are beginning to think something very sinister is going on with the “source” objects that they take to be incinerated. Lucy joins the company once again to a small village that is not only overcome with ghosts, but also has one giant showing up in the graveyard summoning ghosts from their graves! This is pretty much as exciting as it gets! A superb read.
Anything you didn’t like about it? Not a thing!
To whom would you recommend this book? This is the fourth book in the fabulous series Lockwood & Co. so it is a must-read for those fans and everyone else who likes Jonathan Stroud.
Who should buy this book? Public, elementary and middle school libraries
Where would you shelve it? Juvenile or YA fiction
Should we (librarians) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? Yes, particularly if you have read the first three Lockwood & Co. books, though it does stand on its own.
