Rating: 1-5 (5 is an excellent or a Starred review) 3
Genre: realistic fiction
What did you like about the book? This is the story of a character from the first book in this series, Come Back to Me, named Didi. She is a psychology intern at a Veteran’s hospital. At this same hospital, we meet a wounded marine, Noel Walker. He has recently become blind. Didi tries not to fall in love with Walker but can’t help it and vice versa. She is warned time and again not to fall for a patient by her dad, the head psychiatrist. Although the road to happiness isn’t easy for these two, they do manage to find each other and fall in love.
All in all, this is a heart wrenching story about PTSD and true love.
Anything you didn’t like about it? There are quite a few graphic love scenes.
To whom would you recommend this book? I would recommend this to anyone who read the first in the series, Come Back to Me. Anyone who likes a good love story will also enjoy this.
