Genre: Graphic fiction
What did you like about the book? Johnny Boo and his pet Squiggle are back for another perfectly silly adventure. This time the little ghosts see a giant pencil in the sky, which is kind of scary if you’re a little ghost. And “boo power” doesn’t seem to work to make it go away. To make matters worse, the Ice Cream Monster makes an appearance, as well as a tiger. Of course, Johnny Boo and Squiggle take care of business. Kochalka does it again with his simple drawing style and bright colors, easy to read text and zany non-scary action.
To whom would you recommend this book? This is a perfect early graphic novel for kids who like silliness.
Who should buy this book? Elementary school and public libraries
Where would you shelve it ? Graphic novels
Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? No
