Rating: 1-5 (5 is an excellent or a Starred review) 4
What did you like about the book? Brief informative text and bright cartoon illustrations trace the development of the indoor toilet, as it was modified over the centuries. I like that there is humor amongst the information, through facial expressions and thought balloons. “Memory Game” at end.
Anything you didn’t like about it? There is no one of color represented in the entire series. For this volume on the toilet, missing is a little more on where the waste goes when it enters the plumbing.
To whom would you recommend this book? Offer this to early graders interested in topics relating to poop or inventions.
Who should buy this book? Elementary school and public libraries
Where would you shelve it ? 696
Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? No
