What did you like about the book? Brief informative text and bright cartoon illustrations trace the invention of french fries, as the dish developed from the 1820’s. I like that there is humor amongst the information, through facial expressions and thought balloons. “Memory Game” at end.

Anything you didn’t like about it? There is no one of color represented in the entire series.

To whom would you recommend this book?  Offer this to early graders interested in food inventions.

Who should buy this book? Elementary school and public libraries

Where would you shelve it ? 64o’s
