Format: Hardcover

Rating: 1-5 (5 is an excellent or a Starred review) 4

Genre: Rhyming early reader

What did you like about the book? Spanish translation of the 2007 book Joe on the Go. An energetic little frog tries to get the attention of various family members at a family reunion. Everyone is too busy to play with him, until he finds Grandma in a wheelchair. They go off and have ice cream and all is good. Some of the rhyming is a bit awkward in Spanish, but the rhythm and universal appeal of the story still shine through. The colorful ink drawings are full of life and humor.

To whom would you recommend this book?  Offer this to early readers of Spanish who like Dr. Seuss and stories in rhyme

Who should buy this book? Elementary school and public libraries

Where would you shelve it ? Spanish language collections

Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? No
