What did you like about the book? Gossie has a red egg, Gertie dyes hers blue. BooBoo dyes her egg bright purple and Peedie uses bright yellow. Ollie, with his pink Easter rabbit ears, does not have any eggs – but he wants some! Ollie finds each egg after the others hide them and he hides them out of sight under a blanket. Gossie, Gertie, BooBoo and Peedie search everywhere for the eggs finding them wrapped up in ribbons by Ollie. “Look!” says Ollie. “Easter Eggs!”. The illustrations are adorable.

Anything you didn’t like about it? I liked everything!

To whom would you recommend this book? A nice selection for Easter storytimes, of course, but also for beginning readers and the many fans of the ducklings.

Who should buy this book? Public and elementary school libraries, particularly kindergartens and 1st grade. Children in day-care would also enjoy it.

Where would you shelve it? Beginning Readers

Should we (librarians) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? Yes.
