What did you like about the book? This oversized reference book highlights more than 150 languages. Each part of the world is displayed on two pages and the word hello is written in all the languages that are found in those regions. There are flaps that help with the pronunciation. The book also features hieroglyphs, sign language and different writing systems. This is a book jammed with information about culture, geography and the peoples of the world.

Anything you didn’t like about it? I liked everything about the book, except that the flaps might get over used. Each page is filled with flaps.

To Whom Would You Recommend this book? This is for older elementary school children or even older. This could be a coffee table book, as it’s the type of book that can be picked up and put down over and over.

Who should buy this book? all libraries

Where would you shelve it ? Children’s Books

Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles?  Yes

Reviewer’s Name, Library (or school), City and State: Sandra Pacheco, ESL teacher, Washington, D.C.
