Rating: 1-5 (5 is an excellent or a Starred review) 4
What did you like about the book? One hundred firsts for new parents, written with humorous “I’ve been there; you won’t believe it” irony. Stylish illustrations depict moms and dads in all the joyful and hellish situations that are hard to fathom unless experienced in person. These experiences are channeled and described in laugh-out-loud deadpan.
To whom would you recommend this book? A great for new parents. Along the lines of Allie Brosh’s Hyperbole and a Half.
Who should buy this book? Public libraries
Where would you shelve it ? 817.5 (humor) or Parenting section
Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? No
