What did you like about the book? For readers looking for a Norse adventure, this book will fit the niche.  Thorfinn is the youngest in an unruly viking family and also the kindest and most courteous. His brutish brothers and father lead the traditional viking life while Thorfinn looks out for his family, especially his mother who tirelessly works to keep the house in order.  It is a story filled with humor that will appeal to young readers.

Anything you didn’t like about it? Nothing

To whom would you recommend this book? Readers who like the graphic novel/fiction book format will like the cartoon like illustrations throughout the book.  Reluctant readers will find the format and short chapters accessible. Readers of Dragon Slayers Academy may also like this series.

Who should buy this book? Public libraries and school libraries

Where would you shelve it ? Juvenile Fiction

Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? For those looking a humorous viking story, yes!
