What did you like about the book? This is a collection of six meadow animals and their babies. On one page is the adult, and on the facing page is the baby. Who knew that a baby hare was called a leveret! The animals are drawn in silhouette and each animal takes up the full page. They are recognizable to the reader even though there is only a little detail in each drawing. The board book has a matte finish
Anything you didn’t like about it? Although the drawings were excellent, I found the book one that children would not read over and over.
To Whom Would You Recommend this book? This is for very young toddlers.
Who should buy this book? all libraries
Where would you shelve it ? Children’s Books
Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? No
