Genre: Picture book
What did you like about the book? A new sister comes into a family and takes on the role of being more demanding that her older brother who until that time was the “bossy baby”. The little sister took on the role of chief executive officer in the family and quickly restructured the organization! The illustrations are in character of an office with the children wearing power suits and the whole book keeps up the theme of a business environment. The author does a great job of showing how the baby was the bossiest baby and then as ceo of her company knew how to create harmony in the family.
Anything you didn’t like about it? Young children won’t necessarily get the nuances of the business environment. It seems like the book would definitely appeal more to high-powered business parents than children.
To Whom Would You Recommend this book? Older toddlers will like this book. It’s also a great book to give to parents who are having a second child.
Who should buy this book? all libraries
Where would you shelve it ? Children’s Books
Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? yes
