What did you like about the book? Thomas, a frog, is new to town and just doesn’t know how to fit in. He tries “dressing to impress, and strutting his stuff,” but he is totally ignored, something Thomas hates more than anything else. He has to think of a way to be noticed and decides to be a bully. Being the flabby, weak frog that he is, he has to practice hard being a bully at home. Again no one takes him seriously, until one day he’s able to bully Gomer, a sniveling little frog. Not until Gomer confesses that the real reason he’s quaking in his boots if that he is being bullied by a real bad to the bone bully do Thomas and Gomer join together to stand up to the bully. What comes of the confrontation is a new friend for Thomas.
Anything you didn’t like about it? I liked everything about this book.
To Whom Would You Recommend this book? Great book to read to a guidance group in school about bullies. It also touches on the idea that bullies often just need a friend and acceptance to stop bothering others.

Where would you shelve it ? Children’s Books
Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? yes
