Rating: (1-5 5 is a starred review) 4

Genre:  Picture book

What did you like about the book? Little Elliot and his friend mouse are not inseparable. They decide to go to an amusement park together, where there’s a boardwalk, lots of rides and lots of yummy food. Unfortunately when they try to go on the rides, Little Elliot is afraid, the rides are too wet, too dizzy, too scary. Mouse helps him overcome his fears and by the end of the day, they have a wonderful time. Aside from the rides and food, the best part of the day is being together. It’s a reassuring book for children who are afraid.

Anything you didn’t like about it? In the middle of the book, there are 2 fold out pages to give a panorama of the sight they see from the top of a ferris wheel. I think those pages would get ripped easily unless the book was handled with care.

To Whom Would You Recommend this book? Everyone who loves Little Elliot books, will love this addition to the series. It follows the friendship of mouse and Little Elliot and shows the bond of their friendship. Older toddlers and preschoolers will love the book
