What did you like about the book? It this winter story a little pig named Pinky is on a mission to pick up a pizza for lunch.  He makes up a rhyme to remember the toppings: “Mushrooms, mozzarella cheese, Fresh tomatoes, onions, peas.”  Children will be sure to repeat this refrain as it is read aloud.  On the way to the pizza shop, Pinky comes across his friends having winter fun.  They invite him to join in, but Pinky is set on getting the pizza.  Along the way, Pinky gets covered with snow from a tree.  As he ambles along covered in snow, with only his snout and yellow booted feet showing, people in town begin to remark on the walking snowman.  Pinky looks, but cannot see what they are talking about. Children will love being in on the fun.  In the end, Pinky thaws out in the pizzeria and makes it back home.  “And after their delicious lunch, Pinky and Mommy took a stroll into town. They wanted to see the walking snowman, too!”   This is a funny and sweet winter time story with wonderfully expressive illustrations.
