Rating: 1-5 (5 is an excellent or a Starred review) 4

Genre: Fantasy

What did you like about the book? A child could get happily lost in the valley – the most beautiful place in the world – where the Twims live. Twims are little furry critters with long tails that look something like a chubby monkey and something like a small bear. They live in tree houses and enjoy many of the same occupations as humans but their lives are very peaceful, almost free of discord. The illustrations convey a magical world that anyone would want to live in full of love, beauty, fun and intrigue.

Anything you didn’t like about it? Not a thing.

To whom would you recommend this book? Kids who like the Moomins by Tove Jansson and Luke Pearson’s Hilda stories might like this one, too.

Who should buy this book? Public libraries

Where would you shelve it? Oversize picture books

Should we (librarians) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? Near.
