What did you like about the book?  For a short and comprehensive lesson on India, this is the perfect little book!  Perkins covers the major areas of India such as the capital city and where Bollywood movies are made.  Foods are featured as well as dress, holidays, schooling and fun!  The illustrations are so cute and eye-catching and really convey what the author wants.

Anything you didn’t like about it? nothing

To whom would you recommend this book?  I would recommend this to kids who like to read about other countries but can’t handle a large book.  There are a lot of words so a child who has a pretty good grasp on reading would appreciate this book.  Some read-a-likes are the other books in Perkins series of “Living In…” books.

Who should buy this book?  Elementary schools and children’s libraries

Where would you shelve it?  Juvenile easy reader non-fiction

Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? no
