Fa La La by Leslie Patricelli

Fa La La, Leslie Patricelli, Candlewick, 2005
Format: Board book
Rating: 5
Genre:  Holiday
What did you like about the book? There’s my undying love for Leslie Patricelli’s artwork. Baby prepares for Christmas, helping his (her?) parents choose a tree, decorate (and knock down) a gingerbread house, make gifts, visit Santa, sing carols, and finally experience Christmas Morning.
What didn’t you like about the book? Continuity. We see Baby in the background of Faster, Faster with Mom, Dad, and an older sister, who is strangely absent from this book. 🙂
To whom would you recommend this book?  everybody
Who should buy this book? Public libraries
Where would you shelve it and why? Board books, holiday collections
Should we (librarians) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? yes
Reviewer’s Name, Library (or school), City: Brandy Danner, Wilmington Memorial Library, Wilmington
Date of review: 8/31/12
