Cameryn Mahoney has been spending the last of her high school years helping the town’s forensic scientist, Dr. Moore with his autopsies. In a previous book Cameryn dated Kyle O’Neil. She thought everything was going good until he tried to kill her. Cameryn then decided to throw herself into schoolwork and helping Dr. Moore. Now, Kyle O’Neil is back and making contact again, which turns Cameryn’s world upside down. As she’s thrown into a full-scale investigation to catch Kyle she finds her strength and safety in her loved ones. Written in a matter of fact tone The Dying Breath is a good mystery that will keep you guessing, though it may be better for those who have read previous books in the Forensic Mystery series. The writer shows how Cameryn tries to grow up and face her one true fear- Kyle O’Neil.
